Sources of Local Colors - JSS2 Cultural and creative art Lesson Note
Local colors refer to the inherent hue of an object under normal lighting conditions. They are the colors we perceive an object to be when it's not influenced by any external factors like shadows or reflections. Sources of local colors can include:
Nature: Objects found in nature such as trees, flowers, fruits, and animals have distinct local colors.
Man-made objects: Items like buildings, clothing, vehicles, and furniture also have their own local colors.
Environmental factors: Light sources, such as sunlight or artificial lighting, can affect how we perceive local colors.
