Suffixes

A suffix is a group of letters added to the end of a word to alter its form or meaning.

Common Suffixes and Their Meanings:

1. -ful: Full of
   - Example: Joyful (full of joy)
   
2. -less: Without
   - Example: Hopeless (without hope)
   
3. -ness: State of being
   - Example: Happiness (state of being happy)
   
4. -able / -ible: Capable of being
   - Example: Breakable (capable of being broken), Edible (capable of being eaten)
   
5. -er / -or: One who
   - Example: Teacher (one who teaches), Actor (one who acts)
   
6. -ly: In the manner of
   - Example: Quickly (in a quick manner)
   
7. -ment: State or condition
   - Example: Enjoyment (state of enjoying)
   
8. -tion / -sion: State of being or action
   - Example: Celebration (the action of celebrating), Decision (the state of deciding)
   
9. -ous: Full of
   - Example: Dangerous (full of danger)
   
10. -ive: Having the nature of
    - Example: Creative (having the nature of creating)

Formation of Words with Prefixes and Suffixes

Examples:

1. Root Word: Happy
