Shaping materials involves various techniques, including filing and sanding, to achieve desired forms and finishes. 

• Filing: Using a file, rough edges and surfaces can be smoothed out or shaped to specific dimensions. Different types of files, such as flat, half-round, and round files, offer versatility in shaping various materials.a
• Sanding: Sanding involves rubbing abrasive materials against the surface of a material to remove imperfections and achieve a smooth finish. Sandpaper with different grit sizes allows for gradual refinement of surfaces, from coarse to fine.
