The betrayal and arrest of Jesus (Mark 14:27-52, Matt 27:32-52) - JSS2 Christian Religious Studies Lesson Note

Jesus Christ went with his disciples to mount olives to pray after the last supper. He went to the garden of Gethsemane with Peter, James, and John. He told them to wait while He prayed, after some time, He came back and met them sleeping, He rebuked them and told them that they cannot even watch with him for one hour.

When he came the third time, He told them it was certain that he would soon be handed over to his detractors. While he was still speaking Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples came in the company of crowd from the chief priest, scribes, and elders carrying swords and clubs. He addressed Jesus as master and kissed him. Jesus was arrested and taken away. He did not resist the arrest because he wanted the prophecy to be fulfilled.
