- Ruler: Used for making the width of hem/ material being used. It is also used for pattern drafting.
- Tape measure: Used for taking measurement of the body, fabrics etc. A tape measure is normally marked on both sides in inches and centimeters.Â
- Hem maker: Used for making the hems of finished garments.
- Tracing wheel: Used with carbon paper or tracing paper in transferring markings from pattern to fabric.
- Tailors chalk: A special coloured chalk used for making marks on patter and fabrics.
