Infectious Diseases: Caused by pathogenic microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites. They spread through direct or indirect contact with infected individuals, contaminated surfaces, or bodily fluids. Examples include the common cold, influenza, and tuberculosis.
Non-infectious Diseases: Result from factors such as genetics, lifestyle, or environmental exposures. They don't spread from person to person. Examples include heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
