·         Service-Based Public Enterprises: These are public enterprises that provide essential services to the public, such as electricity, water supply, healthcare, education, transportation, and postal services. They focus on meeting the basic needs of the population and ensuring equitable access to these services.

·         Infrastructure-Based Public Enterprises: These are enterprises that own and manage critical infrastructure, including roads, bridges, airports, seaports, railways, and telecommunication networks. Their role is to develop, operate, and maintain infrastructure that supports economic activities and public connectivity.

·         Natural Resource-Based Public Enterprises: These enterprises are involved in the extraction, processing, and management of natural resources, such as oil, gas, minerals, and forestry. They ensure the responsible utilization of natural resources, revenue generation, and equitable distribution of benefits to the population.

·         Financial and Banking Public Enterprises: These are government-owned financial institutions, including central banks, commercial banks, development banks, and insurance companies. They provide financial services, regulate the financial sector, promote economic stability, and facilitate access to capital for development purposes.

·         Industrial and Manufacturing Public Enterprises: These enterprises are involved in industrial and manufacturing activities, such as steel production, textile mills, automotive manufacturing, and aerospace industries. They aim to support domestic industries, promote economic growth, and create employment opportunities.

·         Defense and Security-Based Public Enterprises: These enterprises are responsible for defense-related industries, including arms manufacturing, research and development, and defense equipment production. They play a critical role in national security, defense preparedness, and supporting the armed forces.

·         Social Welfare and Housing Public Enterprises: These enterprises focus on social welfare programs, affordable housing, urban development, and public housing initiatives. They work to address social challenges, provide affordable housing options, and improve the living conditions of marginalized communities.
