Understanding Photosynthesis - JSS1 Agricultural science Lesson Note
Photosynthesis is the biological process by which green plants, algae, and some bacteria convert light energy into chemical energy stored in glucose. The process takes place in chloroplasts, where chlorophyll absorbs sunlight and uses it to combine carbon dioxide and water, producing glucose and oxygen as by-products. This fundamental process is the basis for plant growth and provides the foundation for the entire food chain.
