A bag contains 5 red marbles, 3 blue marbles, and 2 green marbles. If one marble is drawn at random, what is the probability that it is either red or blue?
Total number of marbles = 5 (red) + 3 (blue) + 2 (green) = 10 marbles.
Number of favorable outcomes (red or blue marbles) = 5 (red) + 3 (blue) = 8 marbles.
Probability = Number of favorable outcomes / Total outcomes =
8/10=4/5.
