Explain the coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost as it occurred in stages.

2. Sound of a Mighty Wind:
• Sudden Sound: Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the blowing of a mighty wind. This sound filled the whole house where they were sitting (Acts 2:2).
• Sign of God’s Power: The sound symbolized the powerful presence of God.
3. Tongues of Fire:
• Visible Sign: They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them (Acts 2:3).
• Purification and Empowerment: The fire symbolized purification and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.
4. Filling with the Holy Spirit:
• Filled with the Spirit: All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit. This was a fulfillment of Jesus' promise (Acts 2:4).
• Transformation: They were transformed by the Holy Spirit, receiving new boldness and power.
