Explain the glide technique used in shot put.

The glide technique involves the athlete starting at the back of the circle, facing away from the throwing direction. They crouch down, then push off with their dominant leg to glide across the circle while maintaining low posture. As they reach the front of the circle, they rotate their body, driving with their legs and hips, and finally push the shot put from their neck with a powerful arm extension.
