Find the median of the following data set: 7,3,5,9,2,6.
Arrange the data in ascending order: 2,3,5,6,7,9.
Since there are 6 numbers (even), the median is the average of the 3rd and 4th numbers:
Median= 5+6/2= 11/2= 5.5
