How does the spin technique differ from the glide technique in shot put?

The spin technique, also known as rotational technique, involves the athlete spinning around in the circle to generate momentum before releasing the shot. Unlike the glide, where the athlete moves linearly from back to front, the spin technique requires a circular motion. This technique starts with the athlete turning one and a half times inside the circle before releasing the shot put, utilizing angular momentum to achieve greater distance.
