If a periodic pulse is traveling through the air with a velocity of 589 meter every 1 second at a frequency of 1.5 x 103Hz, what is its wavelength?

\(\lambda\ = \ v\ \div \ f\)

v = 589 m/s

f = 1.5 x 103Hz= 1,500 Hz (1.5 kHz)

substituting,

λ \(= \ 589\ \div \ 1,500\ = \ 0.39\ m\)
