If the hypotenuse of a right angle-triangle isosceles triangle is 2cm. What is the area of the triangle?
A
1/√2 cm2
B
1 cm2
C
√2 cm2
D
2√2 cm2
correct option: b
X2 + x2 = 22
2x2 = 4
x2 = 4/2
x2 = 2
x = +/-√2
Area of Δ = 1/2bh
= 1/2 x √2 x √2
= 2/2
= 1 cm2
2x2 = 4
x2 = 4/2
x2 = 2
x = +/-√2
Area of Δ = 1/2bh
= 1/2 x √2 x √2
= 2/2
= 1 cm2
