In what situations would an object have both potential and kinetic energy simultaneously?
n object would have both potential and kinetic energy simultaneously when it is in motion while also being at a position where it can potentially do work. For example, a swinging pendulum has both kinetic energy due to its motion and potential energy due to its position at the top of the swing.
