Two triangles are similar. The lengths of corresponding sides are in the ratio 3:5. If the smaller triangle has a perimeter of 24 cm, find the perimeter of the larger triangle.
Let the scale factor between the triangles be
𝑘=5/3
Perimeter of the larger triangle =𝑘 × Perimeter of the smaller triangle
Perimeter of the larger triangle
=5/3×24
Perimeter of the larger triangle
=40 cm
Answer: Perimeter of the larger triangle is 40 cm.
