You roll two fair six-sided dice. What is the probability that the sum of the numbers rolled is 7?

Total possible outcomes when rolling two dice

= 6×6

=36 outcomes.

Outcomes where the sum is 7: (1,6), (2,5), (3,4), (4,3), (5,2), (6,1) = 6 outcomes.

Probability = Number of favorable outcomes / Total outcomes = 6/36

=1/6.
