The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), invites applications for the 2024/2025 Supplementary Admission Exercise. This opportunity is open to candidates who sat for the 2024/2025 UTME. The application portal will remain open until December 31, 2024.
Eligible Candidates
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for the supplementary admission:
- Candidates Registered for FUTO 2024/2025 Post-UTME:
- Candidates who participated in the FUTO Post-UTME screening, obtained a minimum aggregate score of 40, but were not offered admission in the Merit Admission exercise.
- Candidates who registered for the FUTO Post-UTME but failed to upload their O'Level results.
Candidates Who Did Not Participate in the Earlier Screening:
- Candidates who did not apply for the earlier screening exercise, including those who did not initially select FUTO as their first choice.
Note: Candidates who did not choose FUTO as their first choice must change to FUTO on JAMB CAPS to be considered.
How to Apply
To register for the Supplementary Admission:
- Visit the official FUTO website.
- Navigate to "School Portal.”
- Click on "Supplementary” and then "Generate Invoice.”
- Enter your JAMB registration number.
- Application Fees:
- ₦15,000 if you previously applied for the Post-UTME Screening.
- ₦17,000 for fresh applications.
Eligibility Criteria
Category A: Candidates with UTME Scores of 150 and Above
Candidates with a minimum UTME score of 150 can apply for specific departments across FUTO's Schools:
- School of Agriculture & Agricultural Technology
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 40
- Courses include: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Animal Science & Technology, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 50 for some departments.
- Courses include: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 50 for some departments.
- Courses include: Agricultural Engineering, Food Science & Technology, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 45 for some departments.
- Courses include: Environmental Management, Quantity Surveying, Urban & Regional Planning, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 45 for some departments.
- Courses include: Logistics & Transport Technology, Project Management, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 45 for some departments.
- Courses include: Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, etc.
- Aggregate Score (Merit): 40
- Courses include: Procurement Management, Sustainable Environment Studies, Sustainable Social Standards.
Category B: Candidates with UTME Scores of 170 and Above
Candidates with a UTME score of 170 or higher are eligible to apply for additional departments:
- School of Health Technology
- Courses include: Prosthetics & Orthotics.
- Microbiology.
- Courses include: Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering.
- Chemical Engineering.
- Information Technology.
- Courses include: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology.
Important Notes
- Merit Cut-off: Applies to all candidates, regardless of state of origin.
- Catchment Cut-off: Applies only to candidates from FUTO's five catchment states (Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo).
- All candidates must upload their O'Level results on JAMB CAPS by December 31, 2024, to be considered for assessment.
- Ensure that the details on both the FUTO portal and JAMB CAPS are consistent.
- Only candidates with complete information on both platforms by the deadline will be evaluated for admission.
