How to be among the first people to register online for NYSC mobilization, especially if you are targeting any state.
So, registration for NYSC 2019 Batch A will start this month (March, 2019). Here I have one tip that will help you register early, especially if you're targeting hot cake states like Lagos and Abuja.
During my Batch A registration, I chose the top 3 states that most people fight for:
- Lagos
- Abuja
- Rivers
- Kaduna
Lagos and Abuja are usually the hottest that most prospective corp members go for and, the usual practice is that when the states are full, they're removed from the NYSC registration portal so late comers can't choose them again.
How to get the "hot" states during NYSC registration
During NYSC registration, many prospective corp members to visit cyber cafe to do their registration. This will likely be your case if you don't have the tools to complete the registration at the comfort of your home.
But the bad news is that it's usually a very hectic day (I mean the first day the registration will start). What makes the day hectic?
- Many people fighting to register first
- NYSC portal may begin to misbehave due to surge in traffic
- Network palaver
- Etc.
How I was able to do my online registration early:
I started the registration from home as soon as the portal was opened, using my laptop. Of course, one can still use a smart phone.
The registration was in different stages but you can complete certain stages with your phone. Basically, you will go to cyber cafe just to capture your fingerprints.
What this means is that you can do part of the registration quickly at home so things can be faster for you at the cyber cafe.
That's how I was able to be among the very first people that registered that day.
