UI imposes curfew in the campus for security reasons (students take note!)

The Universit of Ibadan has imposed what it called partial curfew within the campus. According to the school, this became necessary for security purposes. Periods for the curfew The curfew will start today, August 14, 2019, and no end date was specified. The curfew starts at 12 midnight till 5 am daily and students are advised to comply with this order. Also, students and staff are expected to have a means of identification with them and produce it if accosted by security staff. Here is the notice in full:
The University Security Committee met today to review the current security situation on the Campus of the University of Ibadan. 2. A major decision of the Committee is to enforce a Partial Curfew from 12 midnight till 5 am as from tomorrow, Wednesday 14th August 2019. 3. All students and members of staff should be able to produce a means of identification if and when accosted by security staff. 4. This partial restriction of movement will be in place until further notice. 5. Kindly ensure strict compliance, please, as part of efforts of ensuring the safety of all members of the community.
