Attributes of Courage - JSS2 Civic education Lesson Note

Risk-taking: Courage involves taking calculated risks and stepping into the unknown, despite uncertainties or potential dangers, in pursuit of a greater purpose or goal.

Resilience: Courageous individuals possess resilience, bouncing back from setbacks, failures, or hardships with renewed determination and optimism, rather than succumbing to despair or defeat.

Integrity: Courage is closely linked to integrity, as courageous acts often stem from a commitment to moral principles, values, and convictions, even when it is difficult or unpopular to do so.

Empathy: Courageous individuals demonstrate empathy and compassion towards others, showing willingness to stand up for the rights and well-being of others, even at personal risk or sacrifice.

Leadership: Courage is often associated with leadership, as courageous individuals inspire and motivate others to act bravely and pursue noble causes, leading by example and fostering positive change in society.
