Broadcasting entails scattering seeds evenly over the soil surface without precise placement. It is commonly used for crops with small seeds or those that can tolerate close proximity. The seeds are scattered by hand or using mechanical broadcast spreaders, ensuring even distribution across the field. After broadcasting, the seeds are lightly covered with soil to protect them and facilitate germination.
