Each livestock species has unique characteristics that make them suitable for specific roles in agriculture. These include:
  - Ruminants: Animals with a complex stomach structure capable of digesting fibrous plant material (e.g., cattle, sheep, goats).
  - Non-ruminants: Animals with a simple stomach structure (e.g., pigs, poultry).
  - Draught Animals: Livestock used for pulling carts or ploughs, providing labour in addition to other products.
