Definition of Home Economics - JSS1 Home Economics Lesson Note

Home economics is defined as a subject concerned with human development, personal and family finance, consumer issues, housing and interior design, nutrition and food preparation, as well as textile and apparel. It can be defined as a field concerned with improving family life. It does this by; 

• It finds out the needs of individuals and families.
• It looks for ways of meeting individual and families.
• It prepares people for family living and employments
