Feeding Methods - JSS1 Agricultural science Lesson Note

1. Grazing: Animals are allowed to feed on natural pasture or forage in designated grazing areas. Common for ruminants like cattle and sheep.

2. Concentrate Feeding: Animals are fed with concentrated feeds, such as grains and protein supplements. Common for poultry and pigs.

3. Total Mixed Ration (TMR): A balanced mixture of various feed ingredients, providing a complete diet. Common in dairy farming.

4. Free-Choice Feeding: Animals have continuous access to various feed ingredients, allowing them to self-select their diet. Common for grazing animals supplemented with concentrate feeds.
