- Eating adequate diet: Your food should contain all nutrients in adequate amount for proper growth, maintenance and nourishment of the body.
- Using foods in season:” Exploit the seasonality of foods and eat as mush as is good when the particular food is in season e.g. mango, pawpaw, etc.
- Reducing the amount of sugar, sweetened drinks and salt in your diet.
- Going for more healthy snacks such as fruits and vegetables other than fizzy drinks and confectioneries.
- Choosing diet that is low in cholesterol and saturated fat.
- Choosing diet that have plenty of grain/cereals, vegetables and fruits.
- Eating a variety of selected food from all the food groups.
- Taking adequate amount of water daily.
