Introduction - JSS3 Christian Religious Studies Lesson Note

The early church was formed by the first set of people that followed Jesus during his earthly ministry. These were the twelve disciples and His first converts. They numbered about one hundred and twenty (120). They prayed and worshipped together and they had all things in common. The Holy Spirit has ever been their guide. They succeeded in all they did and God was helping them in preaching the Gospel and casting out devil and many converts joined them.

However, the situation of our church today baffles us, for we do not know what our church are up to in terms of co-operation. Some members even do not pray together in their families, not to talk of co-operating with their neighbours. Christian brothers and sisters are so bad in their relation with one another that there is nothing to write home about them.
