Kinds of Posture - JSS2 Physical and health education Lesson Note
Standing Posture: This refers to how you hold your body while standing. A good standing posture involves keeping the spine straight, shoulders back, and head aligned with the spine.
Sitting Posture: This involves the alignment of the body while seated. It includes keeping the back straight, shoulders relaxed, feet flat on the floor, and hips and knees at a 90-degree angle.
Walking Posture: Walking posture focuses on the alignment of the body while moving. It involves swinging the arms naturally, keeping the head up, and landing each step heel to toe.
Running Posture: Similar to walking, running posture involves maintaining proper alignment of the body while running, including keeping the torso upright, arms relaxed, and maintaining a smooth stride.
Lifting Posture: This refers to the body positioning when lifting objects. It includes bending at the knees, keeping the back straight, and using the legs to lift rather than the back to prevent strain.
Climbing Posture: Climbing posture involves positioning the body safely and efficiently while ascending or descending. It often involves using both hands and feet for support and balance, keeping the core engaged, and maintaining awareness of the surroundings for safety.
