Rules and regulations in discus - JSS1 Physical and Health Education Lesson Note
- Athletes must throw the discus from a designated throwing area, which is often a 2.5-meter-wide circle.
- The discus must be held with one hand and thrown with a spinning motion.
- The athlete's feet should not leave the ground during the throw.
- The athlete must stay within the circle until the discus lands.
- The discus must be thrown within a specific sector. If it lands outside the sector, the throw is considered faulty.
- Athletes should listen to and obey the coach's directions to ensure their own and others' safety.
- Encourage fair play, sportsmanship, and respect for teammates and opponents.
- Make sure to use the proper discus and not throw anything that is not authorized for the activity.
