Vowel Contrast /au/ and /au/
au/:
This sound is a diphthong, which means it's a combination of two vowel sounds.

/ɔː/:
This sound is a monophthong, meaning it's a single pure vowel sound.

The lips are rounded throughout the duration of the sound.
It is a longer vowel sound compared to /au/.
Example words: "thought," "caught."
