Steps Involved in Operating a Mailbox - SS2 ICT Lesson Note
Steps Involved in Operating a Mailbox:
- Accessing the Mailbox: Users log in to their e-mail account using their username and password. This grants them access to their mailbox.
- Viewing Inbox: Once logged in, users can view their inbox, which displays received e-mails. Each e-mail includes sender information, subject, and a snippet of the content.
- Reading E-mails: Users can open an e-mail to read its full content. They can also view attachments, such as documents or images, that may be included with the e-mail.
- Organizing E-mails: E-mails can be organized into folders, allowing users to categorize and manage their messages more effectively. Common folders include inbox, sent items, drafts, spam, and custom folders.
- Replying and Forwarding: Users can reply to an e-mail to respond to the sender or forward the e-mail to others. They can also compose new messages.
- Deleting and Archiving: E-mails can be deleted to remove them from the inbox, or they can be archived to store them in a separate location for future reference.
