Types of Postural defects - JSS2 Physical and health education Lesson Note
Postural defects encompass various conditions affecting the alignment of the body, including hypnosis, valgus knee, varus knee, lordosis, and scoliosis. Hypnosis refers to an excessive curvature of the spine, often causing a forward-leaning posture. Valgus knee presents as an inward curvature of the knees, while varus knee manifests as an outward curvature. Lordosis involves an exaggerated inward curve of the lower back, and scoliosis denotes an abnormal sideways curvature of the spine.
