Understanding Federation - JSS2 Civic education Lesson Note
Federation refers to a political system in which several states or regions form a centralized government while retaining certain powers and autonomy. It involves the sharing of powers and responsibilities between a central authority and constituent units, such as states or provinces, within a defined territory. Federations are often established to address the need for cooperation, unity, and governance among diverse regions or communities. Nigeria and the United States of America are examples of federations.
