Use a word that describes the amount of the uncountable noun. For example, instead of saying "I need salt," say "I need some salt."

Use a word or phrase that indicates a part of the uncountable noun. For example, instead of saying "I want sugar," say "I want a spoonful of sugar."

Use a word that classifies or counts the uncountable noun. For example, instead of saying "I need coffee," say "I need a cup of coffee."
