There are various reasons why education is very important. In this post, I want to discuss some those great importance or benefit of education.
Being a graduate engineer, I can say that the most important thing about education is that it shapes us: it shapes the way we think, the way we understand people, the world around us... education changes our worldview in a more positive way.
Consequent upon such positive change education brings into our life, it us better persons. Because we tend to understand people better (or at least we learn to), understand our duties in building our society for better and much more.
Is that all the reason education is important? Of course not. Another reason education is important is that it helps us discover ourselves.
Many youths have their dreams changed as soon as they got into the universities or higher institution. This is because they have discovered things they didn't know.
A student may go to school to study economics (because his parents said it's great for him) but ends up graduating a software developer.
He has discovered he can become a programmer and build awesome software! Education has given him the exposure. The exposure education gives people help them find their real passion and pursue their dreams.
Education make us civilized global citizens. We know the importance of civilization in building a world where people respect one another's culture, religion, etc. Education inculcate such discipline in us.
Education produce the skilled men and women who build our society: art, medicine, engineering, economists and entrepreneurs.
