The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a warning to UTME candidates about fraudulent text messages currently in circulation. JAMB has urged candidates to disregard any messages that ask for payment or registration outside of official channels.

Candidate are to note that JAMB does not send unsolicited messages. The warning became necessary after some candidates reported receiving scam texts asking them to pay or register for certain services through unofficial means.
Such messages are attempts to defraud innocent candidates and should be completely ignored.
