How This New Feature Helps
Many candidates face difficulties retrieving their JAMB profile or completing their UTME/DE registration due to lost SIM cards. Since SIM swap is not available, JAMB has provided an alternative solution through CBT centres.
With this new feature, candidates can now visit any accredited CBT centre, fill out a template, and regain access to their profiles for the upcoming UTME/DE registration.
Steps to Use This Service
If you have lost your SIM card and need to register for UTME or Direct Entry (DE), follow these steps:
- Visit an accredited CBT centre – Locate a JAMB-approved CBT centre near you.
- Request the SIM retrieval template – The centre will provide a template to fill out.
- Submit the required details – Ensure you provide accurate information as requested.
- Follow the instructions given – The CBT centre will guide you through the process.
Important Notice
- SIM swap is still unavailable – This feature does not allow you to change your registered phone number but helps you retrieve access to your JAMB profile.
- Only available at CBT centres – Ensure you visit an official JAMB CBT centre to use this service.

Losing your SIM card no longer means losing access to your JAMB profile. With this new CBT centre feature, you can complete your UTME/DE registration without hassle. If you’re affected, visit a CBT centre today and follow the process to regain access.
