In this article, I am going to give you a head start on what you need to do NOW to study Law at the University of Ilorin.

Meanwhile, every course has its requirements in every tertiary institution in Nigeria. 

However, it is important you know the requirements for the course you want to study so that you don't make mistakes and ended up not getting admission.

Admission Requirements To Study Law In UNILORIN

Here are the general admission requirements for any UTME candidate who wants to study Law in UNILORIN:

  • You must have at least five (5) credit passes in your WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB results. It must not be more than two (2) sittings which must include English Language and Mathematics.
  •  You must make the University of Ilorin your first choice of institution during JAMB registration. UNILORIN does not consider second-choice candidates when offering admission.
  • You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age to be qualified for admission. Anything less than sixteen (16) years will not get considered.
  • You must choose the correct subjects combination in your O-Level results, JAMB, and Post UTME of the school. 
  • It is important you score nothing less than a 200 score in your JAMB UTME examination to be eligible for the UI Post UTME examination.
  • You have to meet the University of Ilorin cut-off mark for Law to gain admission into the school.

Admission Requirements To Study Law In UNILORIN (Direct Entry)

Here are the general admission requirements for any Direct Entry candidate who wants to study Law in UNILORIN:

  • You must have at least five (5) credit passes in your WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB results. It must not be more than two (2) sittings which must include English Language and Mathematics.

NOTE: UI does not allow two (2) sittings for some of their courses.

  • You must make the University of Ilorin your first choice of institution to be qualified for admission.
  • A-Level Candidates must have A-Level passes in relevant subjects.
  • OND holders must have a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant discipline.
  • HND holders must have a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant discipline.
  • NCE candidates must have a minimum of two (2) passes in a relevant discipline.
  • Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the UNILORIN Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And UNILORIN Portal.
