Food hygiene - JSS2 Home economics Lesson Note

Food hygiene is referred to as the observance and practice of hygiene or practicing sanitary rules to prevent food contamination, poising and spoilage.

It is also referred to as the proper handling and caring for food. It is aslo a means of preventing harmful bacteria from growing in food by keeping the hands, the kitchen, cooking and eating utensils clean and by observing good sanitation.
