[email protected]. That's your email iD? Really? See how to choose official email address you can use anywhere so you can stop using "unprofessional" email addresses for official purposes.
If your email address is something like [email protected] or [email protected], sorry, you need a better email address for your academic, career and other official purposes.
During JAMB registration, post UTME registration, when creating student profile, etc, you need to enter your email address. Well, not just any email address but one that makes sense.
For example, the two email addresses above are NOT appropriate for official purposes!
Type of email address you should use for official stuff
The answer is simple and straightforward: for official purposes, the best email address people use is a combination of their first name and surname, usually separated by a dot.
For example, if your first name is Chioma and last name Adeleke, then the email address below makes sense for official use:
You see the examples above? That's is the format most people I know use for their official email address.
Of course, no one is saying your official email address must be a combination of your first and last names but believe me, you can't go wrong with that combo!
Email providers to use
One more thing I want to mention is email providers. There are many of them: Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.
Personally I prefer Gmail because Google is perhaps the biggest guy on the Internet, plus, a Gmail account is very important these days for you to access many things online.
So, I recommend you use Gmail.
Interestingly, Gmail is free and can only take like 3 minutes to create.
How to create an official email address using Gmail
This is easy. Just head over to Gmail.com, enter your name, phone number, email address you wish to use, and you will be done in the next 3 minutes.
Remember, do not use any email address that doesn't make sense for official purposes. A bad email musnt be the two examples I gave above. I believe you get the idea.
Finally, please show love by sharing this post. All the best in your exam and admission journey.
