The Cross River State University of Technology—Introduction

The Cross River State University of Technology, also known as CRUTECH, is a state-owned higher institution founded in 2002 and is managed by the Cross River State government. 

The university was established as a technology university that trains Nigerian students in different aspects of science and technology.

In 2002, Governor Donald Duke merged three higher institutions: The Polytechnic of Calabar, The College of Education, and Ibrahim Babangida College of Agriculture. 

It offers various degrees, such as pre-bachelor degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.

The university presently has four campuses in Calabar, Obubra, Ogoja, and Okuku.

It is a state university. Most people mistakenly believe it to be a federal university, but it is not.

Cross River State University Of Technology School Fees For New Students

The cross River state university of technology’s school fees is between N105,000 and N128,000 for freshers.

CRUTECH School Fees 2022/2023 For Returning Students

Returning students are to pay N85,000 – N95,000. 

Non-indigene students should pay N85,380, and indigene students are to pay N73,380. 

How Much Is CRUTECH Acceptance Fee?

The CRUTECH acceptance fee for the 2022/2023 academic session is #15,000 (Fifteen Thousands Naira only). 

Note that this fee is non-refundable and mandatory for every new 100L student.

Where Is CRUTECH Located?

As funny as it may sound, many students hear about CRUTECH but are unaware of its location. The school is located in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

CRUTECH Cut-Off Mark

The CRUTECH JAMB general cut-off mark for all courses is 180. And the Post-UTME cut-off mark is a minimum of 50/100. 

That means you must score at least 180 in your JAMB exam and a minimum of 50 over 100 in the CRUTECH Post-UTME screening to be eligible for admission.

Cross River State University of Technology Post-UTME

CRUTECH Post UTME is N2,000 (Two Thousand Naira), and you must pay via the school portal.

Please also note that the fee is non-refundable. However, you will be required to pay appropriate bank charges.

Does CRUTECH Offer Nursing?

Yes! CRUTECH offers Nursing. However, eligible candidates must possess five credits in WAEC/NECO.

Is CRUTECH Offering Pharmacy?

No! CRUTECH does not offer Pharmacy. That means that Pharmacy is not on the list of courses CRUTECH offers. 

How Much Is CRUTECH Hostel Fee?

The accommodation fee costs #30,000 only per session (not per semester). This amount is for both freshers and returning students.

Moreso, living in the university hostel is not compulsory, you can get a cheap apartment outside the school.

Does CRUTECH Accept Second Choice Candidates?

Yes, CRUTECH accepts second-choice candidates.

Does CRUTECH Accept Awaiting Results?

Yes! CRUTECH accepts the awaiting result. The institution allows candidates awaiting their results to apply for the Post UTME screening exercise and offers admission.
