WAEC has announced the temporary withdrawal of the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates due to technical issues discovered after release.
According to the Council, the problem arose from a new security measure—paper serialization—introduced in subjects like Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics to curb exam malpractice. During a routine post-release review, some technical bugs were identified in the results.
As a result:
- Access to the results has been suspended on the result checker portal.
- Candidates who already checked their results are advised to recheck after 24 hours.
- WAEC has apologised for the inconvenience and promised a quick resolution.
The Council assures candidates and the public that the issue is being handled with urgency and transparency.
